I don’t usually have a set plan of what I’ll be sewing each year but I do have a vague outline of what I’d like to accomplish. This year I’d like to sew the fabric in my stash as well as sew more paper patterns.
You all know I love PDF patterns, since they were the first patterns to give me the skills and confidence to sew more. However, I can’t resist a pattern sale at Hobby Lobby or Joann and have accumulated quite a stash of patterns. I love the styles of the ones I bought but have only attempted a few of them since I prefer the more detailed instructions of PDF patterns. I’ve decided this year I need to just go for it and start sewing them! I’ve learned a lot since my first attempts at paper patterns so I don’t feel nearly as intimidated.
I’d also like to sew the patterns using fabric I already have. I bought a lot of the fabric I have either before I really knew much about fabrics and sewing or just bought them because they were pretty. I’m sure others can relate to that last part! The problem is that most of my fabrics are knits and most of my paper patterns are for wovens so I know I’ll have to buy some new fabric. Luckily, I got some gift cards for Christmas to Hobby Lobby and Joann that will come in handy ;).
Below are the patterns and fabric I’d love to sew by the end of this year:

My last sewing plan for 2020 is to finish my bin of uncompleted projects. Most of the projects are almost complete, I just stopped because I wasn’t happy with it or make a mistake, like sewing a neckbandnon backward, and just haven’t been motivated to fix it. There are only 3 or 4 projects so I know I should be able to finish them soon!
Do you have any set sewing plans for the year? Let me know!
