The October box from The Sewciety* was another fabulous box with a fun mini project and a main pattern different from anything else I’ve sewn!
Keep reading on for an unboxing of the October box as well as a sneak peak of the pattern for November’s box!

The main project for October was the Brasov Wrap Top from Itch-to-Stich. This pattern is unlike another other shirt patterns I have, so it was nice to have something a different to spice up my basic wardrobe! The Brasov features pleats on the shoulders and the waist, making it a universally flattering shirt. I also really enjoy sewing pleats for some odd reason so I had a lot of fun making it! For more details on the pattern, check out my review of it from last month’s sneak peak!

The fabric for the top was rayon spandex and one of two fabrics and matching thread were included in the box. The black and white striped fabric reminds me a bit of zebra stripes and I thought that was fun! The other fabric was a navy blue with small random pink lines throughout.

The mini project for the month was a hoop embroidery project, featuring art gallery fabric from the Dew and Moss collection by Alexandra Bordallo. A hoop, coordinating embroidery thread, and fusible fleece were also included. The fabric is SO cute and I had more fun doing the mini project than expected! It’s been years since I’ve attempted hand embroidery and I really enjoyed trying it again. Honestly, I’m pretty bad at it and my stitches are FAR from straight or perfect but I love how it turned out anyway.

Fabric clips, telfon sheet (I’ve always wanted to try one out!), and a super cute pin inspired by Dew and Moss collection were included as well.
Now onto the sneak peak for the November project!

The main project from November is ANY pattern from New Horizons Design! I had a really hard time choosing a pattern because there were three that I wanted: the Carita Joggers, the Knoxville Top, and Tami Revolution Double Hoodie. I ended up choosing the Knoxville because I just imaged the fabric making a beautiful, comfy shirt.

The featured fabric is a grey floral french terry which would be great for any of the patterns I wanted! The Knoxville Top pattern has several different options and I chose the bottom knot, long sleeve, with a cowl neck. I was worried making the knot would be a little difficult but it wasn’t at all! It was a quick sew and I know I’ll be making some more knot tees in the future because I love the look of them.
The November box ships out on the November 20th, so make sure you order before then!
