The week before Easter was spring break for my daughter so both of the kids went to their grandparents house for the week. I got to do so many wonderful things like eat in silence, sit in silence, and finish something without being interrupted 10 times–ha! I also had time to sew a dress for Easter and decided to use McCall’s M7745.
Maybe it was the fact that the kids were gone and it threw me off, but I could not sew a straight line on this thing! At first I was annoyed but eventually just went with it because I didn’t feel like seam ripping a million times. It’s not my most well constructed dress but it’s done and I love it anyway! Thankfully the big print helps hide some of my mistakes!

I made view D in a liverpool and managed to squeeze a size 6 out of 2 yards instead of the 2 3/4 the pattern called for. I find that paper patterns have a lot of ease and can run a size or 2 larger than my measurements, so take note of that when you use any of the big 4 pattern companies.
The pattern is designed to have a lining but the fabric I chose didn’t need one so I made some small adjustments. I had to hem the top and sleeves since there was no lining to finish the edges. It was an easy fix since the fabric has good recovery so I just turned under and hemmed.
This pattern is prefect for spring and summer with several sleeve and length options. Next time I want to try it in a woven!
